Boxing: Floyd Mayweather Jr vs. Marcos Maidana 2, The Rematch

No one has ever beaten Floyd Mayweather Jr and everyone who has lost to him in the ring were clearly beaten. Except for two fighters; Jose Luis Castillo and Marcos Maidana. In 2002 Mayweather had to allow Castillo the honor of having a rematch because the first fight was so close. To prove that he was rally a winner Mayweather won the second match. That was 12 years ago and since then no fighter has achieve a close enough fight like what Castillo has done to merit a rematch except Maidana. Actually, Maidana has done better than Castillo. The first meeting of Mayweather and Maidana in the ring in May 2014 was a good one for Maidana who almost defeated Mayweather. It was the first time in Mayweather's career that he recieved so much punches on the face. Maidana had shown that it is possible to beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. But of course Mayweather prevailed during that fight but it was not really clear win, the fight was so close that is why Mayweather immediately accepted the challenge of a rematch.

That is the reason why we are here now, ready to watch the sequel of Mayweather vs Maidana. Of course Mayweather is easily the clearcut favorite in this match but I am rooting for Maidana. We could not easily say that Mayweather would just breeze through this second match, Maidana has learned what Mayweather is and the warrior in him would surely see to it that in this second chance he'd beat the undefeated Mayweather.

It would be so much fun to see Mayweather succumb to what many consider "a lesser fighter," what would the proud Mayweather say after he is defeated? And if Maidana defeats Mayweather, an Maidana Pacquiao bout would look interesting. The Pacquiao vs Mayweather is a yawn.
